What is a claimed business?

Understand what claimed status means and why business owners claim their pages.

Updated April 20, 2026

A claimed business page is a page that has been claimed by the owner or an authorized representative through our verification process.

Claiming is free, and a claimed page does not automatically mean the business is an advertiser.

Why should owners claim their business page?

Claiming a business page gives owners access to tools that help them keep their information accurate and connect with customers. With a claimed page, owners can:

  • Respond to reviews
  • Reply to customer messages and quote requests
  • Track profile views and customer leads
  • Upload and manage photos
  • Update key business information like address, phone number, website, and hours
  • Add more business details, such as specialties and additional service information

Does it cost anything to claim a business page?

No. Claiming a business page is free.

Does claimed status mean a business is an advertiser?

No. Claimed status only indicates that ownership or management was verified. It does not mean the business is paying for advertising.

Want to claim your business?

Start by signing in with a business account, then follow the claim steps shown on the business page.
